The Right to Love
My love and I are married. This is our choice. This is what works for us. We should not have the right however to impose our lifestyle choice on others anymore than any government should have the right to deny the lifestyle choice of consenting adults. We all have the right to love whomever we please. Marriage is a civil right, an equal right for all plain and simple.
My husband and I are not the only ones who think so and we were proud to march hand in hand with many others to voice our belief that everyone deserves the right to express their love in the same way that we have been able, if they so wish.
Here's what went down in Santa Monica last night:

YES! Real love is rare enough ... we need to CELEBRATE it, not condemn it, People! XXOO!
*How did those businesses support it? Money?
* With their bucks (some really big) that people like us gave 'em.
Thanks for the business list, V! Now I can put my money where my heart is! (Or isn't, as the case may be) We felt so helpless over here watching as our state, one of the most tolerant and liberal places to live in the US, passed Prop 8- an incredibly mean-spirited and backwards law last Tuesday. I feel empowered with this list to at least take action against such Fear-based outrage.
It seems sadly that most Californians are still so afraid of what they do not associate with, or understand, and thus feel threatened by, that they are willing to do something as Un-American as repeal an inalienable right to all loving consenting adults. I have been disappointed and depressed at this reality.
Thank you for sending this whole email. Peace and love to you and Matt.
You are such a wonderful soul, I am continually glad to know you and call you my friend. This post is beautiful and I love this list of companies. I'll try to check out on snope.com now to see if it's legit. It might not be posted there, but I think even sending this list around shows that we will NOT tolerate corporate corruption of our country.!!
